Cartridge Tubes
Our cartridge tubes are an easy way to take pre-measured charges of powder and a bullet to the range! Just pour the powder into the tube and stuff a bullet in as a cork. These cartridge tubes provide a speedy way to load your muzzleloader. Just remove the bullet, pour the powder down the barrel, and load the bullet.
We feel our Forth Armoury cartridge tubes offer some advantages over the old "cap plugs" or "thread protectors" that many in organizations like the North-South Skirmish Association have used for years.
First, they are 3D printed from Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) to be an exact fit for the caliber they are designed for. Being a rubbery material, they stretch to hold the bullet without splitting like undersized cap plugs tend to do.
Second, there is no "rim" on the bottom of these tubes, so they fit more easily into ammunition boxes.
Thirdly, our tubes are longer than most cap plugs, which allow larger charges to be contained in them.

Availability
Our cartridge tubes are 3D printed. While I try to keep some in stock, when they sell out it takes over 17 hours to print 100 tubes.
So, these are essentially "bespoke" items made to order. Please have some patience on delivery, we are not Amazon. Ship times will depend on current demand and inventory.

Care
It is not recommended to boil Forth Armoury cartridge tubes. The temperature of boiling water may permanently deform the tubes. Warm soapy water may be used to clean them.

Cobwebs?
Due to the 3D printed nature of these tubes, sometimes you will find fine strings of material inside the cartridge tube. This is a consequence of the 3D printing manufacturing technique. If you find a tube with "cobwebs" inside, just pluck them out with a pair of tweezers or run a dowel rod down into the tube. |
